Wendy Lam Mei Kuan

Wendy Lam is a graduate with honours from the University of Malaya and is one of the founding partners of V CHONG W LAM (“VCWL”). She was formerly a litigation partner at Messrs. Ram Rais & Partners before setting up VCWL. Her practice ranges from IP licensing, enforcement, prosecution to litigation, industrial relations matters including representing employers at the Industrial Courts, and enforcement of contracts. She is a past president of the Licensing Executives Society of Malaysia (LESM) and has served for many years as the International Delegate to the Licensing Executives Society International. She is also a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) and the Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA). She actively serves as a member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Malaysian Bar Council and has presented papers on intellectual property law, personal data protection and competition law both locally and internationally. She conducts training workshops for the Enforcement Division of the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism. She is also a registered Patent Agent and a contributor to the Halsbury’s Laws of Malaysia on various topics, in particular on patents.
